Bone, in my words
The Fennas word for bone is ascan. Ascan is an unusual masculine Germanic name. In Old English ascan means ashes.
How did I come up with this word? The Welsh word for bone is asgwrn, the Irish word for bone is cnámh, and the Breton word for bone is askorn.
The bones shown in the picture are camel bones.
